Rating of smartphones with a powerful processor. The most powerful smartphones List of the most powerful smartphones

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, which just went on sale, have already been tested in benchmarks, and today they are the two most powerful smartphones in the world. The model with an enlarged case is traditionally more productive: on Antutu it scores almost 224,000 points, and just the “eight” - about 208,000 points. Simply put, the new six-core Apple A11 Bionic beats all competitors on all fronts.

Let's remember that this time inside the iPhone there are two high-performance cores that work 25% faster than in the Apple A10 Fusion, and four highly efficient ones - they are 70% faster. Graphics processing has been accelerated by 30%, and the triple-core GPU now runs ARKit augmented reality. Working alongside the A11 is the neural system and the new M11 motion coprocessor. The iPhone 8 has 2 GB of RAM, the older version has 3 GB.

OnePlus 5

The smartphone, which is very similar in appearance to the iPhone 7 Plus, is ahead of it in performance - in any case, it is the leader in all Antutu summer ratings. The main feature of the device is the dual main camera with 16 MP Sony IMX398 and 20 MP Sony IMX350 sensors - the second sensor is connected only in the “depth effect” mode.

The latest Snapdragon 835 is responsible for the speed here: it has four Kryo cores with a frequency of 2.45 GHz, and four with a frequency of 1.9 GHz. The smartphone is equipped with 6 or 8 GB of memory (internal storage of 64 and 128 GB, respectively) and an Adreno 540 graphics processor. By the way, this is one of the few smartphones on the market with 8 GB of RAM: on the one hand, the need for such a volume of RAM is questionable, with another - but the power reserve will last for a long time if the device does not fail in other respects.

HTC U11

HTC, as they say, has hit the mark with its new flagship - the U11 model has left behind many current flagships in terms of camera, design, and performance. Metal plus glass in the case, the HTC Edge Sense side edge compression function, the best DxOMark rated camera and the “fresh” Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4 or 6 GB of RAM - from all points of view, the indicators are more than just good.

In practice, the most powerful mobile processor of the first half of 2017 with 8 cores (4x 2.45 GHz + 4x 2.15 GHz) guarantees an instant response to user actions, Adreno 540 graphics and fast memory of the UFS 2.1 standard also indicate trouble-free operation of applications and games . In addition, the drive (64/128 GB) is complemented by a MicroSD card with a capacity of up to 2 TB, if anyone needs it at all.

Nubia Z17

Nubia Z17 was released immediately after the Z11 - ZTE decided not to bother with serial numbers, and this is now even in trend. The main thing is that the “suit fits,” that is, that everything is in order with the characteristics, and the Z17 does very well with this. Judge for yourself: in August it was one of the three leaders in Antutu in terms of performance and successfully replaces the previous model on all counts.

Yes, compared to the Z11, the appearance has not changed - the same frameless design with a 5.5-inch screen and a metal body, but the exception is the dual peephole of the main camera on the rear panel: now the smartphone has two modules with a resolution of 12 and 23 megapixels. But the hardware here is Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 8 Kryo cores, Adreno 540 graphics and generously sprinkled with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4x memory. The drive operates according to the fast UFS 2.1 standard and holds 64 or 128 GB of memory.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

At the end of August there is a new and even long-awaited phablet from Samsung, and enthusiasm for it will not subside. Let us remind you that the smartphone received a large curved screen, this time with a diagonal of 6.3”, a waterproof IP68 case and “inherited” a multifunctional S Pen stylus. Note 8 also has a dual camera and a less capacious, but not explosive 3300 mAh battery.

The hardware was inherited from the Galaxy S8: the eight-core Exynos 8895 Octa works together with the ARM Mali-G71 MP20 graphics accelerator. But inside there is 6 GB of fast UFS 2.1 RAM - more than the S8, and 64, 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, expandable: you can insert a card up to 256 GB into the microSD slot. In the Antutu benchmark, the device shows more than 176,000 points, which indicates solid performance.

Nokia 8

Another recent product based on the Snapdragon 835, which has already shown very good results in benchmarks: 174,674 points in Antutu and 6572 in Geekbench. Nokia 8 also has Adreno 540 graphics, and there is only one modification on the market - with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The internal memory can be increased by inserting a microSD card and losing the slot for the second SIM card for the time being.

The smartphone works smoothly even in complex games and generally creates a good impression: a dual advanced camera from Zeiss, a “pure” Android OS, and those who are picky about design can choose between matte and glossy aluminum housings.

Samsung Galaxy S8+/S8

Against the background of the fact that manufacturers compare the ratio of body area to screen area with each other, the new Korean flagships definitely win - this can be seen with the naked eye: the Super AMOLED screen here is frameless, moreover, with streamlined panels curved at the edges. The devices received an iris scanner, Samsung pay contactless payment technology, a waterproof case and support for wireless charging.

The hardware of the Koreans is also traditionally top-notch: in our market it is the eight-core Exynos 8895 (4+4), in the American market it is the already mentioned Snapdragon 835, both made using a 10 nm process technology. By the way, the American version does not perform very well in performance tests compared to its competitors and scores about 163,000 points. But the S8+ on Exynos 8895 in Antutu scores 172,711 “parrots”, its younger “brother” - a little less, 172,610. The amount of RAM has not changed compared to the previous flagship and is 4 GB, and 64 GB of internal memory is expandable using microSD cards.

Xiaomi Mi6

Mi6 is another smartphone with the latest Snapdragon 835 processor, but for 30,000 rubles. For this money, the user gets a 12-megapixel dual camera with many functions and settings, a powerful 3350 mAh battery for current flagships and, of course, top-end performance - in addition to the new chip, the smartphone is equipped with 6 GB of RAM, which is enough even with a reserve.

In principle, everything is not bad in terms of operating speed, but the newfangled USB Type-C with which the device is equipped shows far from the best data transfer speed - for some reason it works according to the old USB 2.0 standard. And with data transmission via LTE, not everything is smooth either: Mi6 does not support some bands. In particular, there is no support for band 20, which is developing in Russia, therefore, depending on the operator and location of the user, communication will be subject to reservations.

The cell phone runs on a Snapdragon 835 processor running an updated version of the OS - Android 8.0, which few models currently have. Apple iPhone 8 Plus

At first glance, the iPhone 8 Plus doesn't stand out in any way. There was not much work done on the design, it is no different from its younger brothers except for the rear window. With dimensions (78.1 × 158.4 × 7.5 mm) in the hand, the smartphone looks simply huge, and it certainly won’t fit in a pocket. However, not everything is so bad, thanks to the 5.5-inch screen you can comfortably watch movies, read books, play games and surf the Internet. The smartphone runs on an Apple A11 Bionic processor with 6 GB of RAM, which is enough for storing files and documents. According to reviews from real owners, the battery lasts for a long time. As of October 2017, iPhone 8 Plus was recognized as the most powerful smartphone according to Antutu.

In this review, we will use the AnTuTu rating, which measures the performance of a particular smartphone with glasses. The procedure is simple: the more points, the more powerful the smartphone. But it’s difficult to say whether it’s faster, because the application is not able to “see” the speed of the system. However, we will take the AnTuTu rating as a basis, and the decision whether to believe the rating or not is entirely yours.

iPhone 8 Plus 3GB+256GB (217385 points)

One of the main new products from the iPhone company is a 5.5-inch smartphone, which has received a new body. Although it would be more correct to say updated, since its characteristics have not changed much compared to the iPhone 7 Plus, however, the back cover is now made of glass.

The fast charging function was present before, and now wireless charging has been added to it. The processor has also been updated - now it is Apple A11 Bionic, and the maximum internal memory reaches 256 GB.

The cameras on the iPhone 8 Plus are some of the best on the smartphone market.

iPhone 8 2GB+256GB (212175 points)

The next number is iPhone 8. The lag behind the larger model is probably due to the smaller amount of RAM (2 GB versus 3 GB), but the screen diagonal is smaller - 4.7 inches. In addition, the lag is so small that in fact, apparently, the difference in the speed of the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone 8 will be almost impossible to notice.

OnePlus 5 6GB+64GB (181047 points)

Interestingly, the test involved a version with 6 GB of RAM, but a version with 8 GB of RAM on board is available for sale. Why it was not used for the test is unknown. However, even 181,047 points is simply a huge number.

OnePlus 5 is considered one of the most powerful smartphones on the planet, which is not surprising, given such a platform with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Screen diagonal is 5.5 inches, resolution is 1920x1080 pixels.

In addition to power, OnePlus 5 has an excellent rear camera.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (N950F) 4GB+64GB (178079 points)

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 based on the Exynos 9 Octa 8895 processor scored 178,079 points - an excellent result! True, the official data indicates a combination of 4GB+64GB, that is, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. This is probably a mistake because even in other countries the smartphone ships with 6GB of RAM.

As for everything else, this is a powerful flagship with a huge 6.3-inch display, fantastic functionality and even a stylus!

HTC U11 4GB+64GB (177501 points)

Now the previous flagship of HTC showed excellent results, which, however, is not very surprising, since it is still based on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

HTC U11 surprised us with the Edge Sense functionality: there is an area on the device’s body that is sensitive to compression. You can independently adjust the compression sensitivity and with a certain press, one or another functionality of the smartphone will be used. For example, the Camera application will launch.

Nubia Z17 6GB+64GB (175779 points)

This device is practically unknown to us, however, as you can see, it produces impressive results in AnTuTu.

Nubia Z17 has incredibly narrow side frames - so much so that the width of the body with a 5.5-inch display is only 72.38 millimeters. Please note that the upper and lower side frames are like those of conventional smartphones.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, memory capacity is 6 GB and 64 GB (RAM and built-in).

Nokia 8 4GB+64GB (175335 points)

It probably doesn’t even make much sense to say that the new Nokia 8 is built on the same powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor?

The smartphone, by the way, turned out to be successful in all respects: an excellent display, an excellent camera with huge functionality, a powerful platform, a stylish aluminum body, a lot of various functions like support for fast charging or a fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 6GB+64GB (175162 points)

The first generation Mi Mix is considered one of the first mass-produced frameless smartphones.

The second generation received a smaller display, but you still can’t call it small - 5.99 inches. At the same time, the front camera is still located at the bottom of the front panel, because there was no room for it at the top. And here the back cover is made of ceramic.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (N950F) 6GB+64GB (173473 points)

Why are we repeating ourselves, the attentive reader will ask? We're not repeating ourselves, it's just that the Galaxy Note 8 comes with two different processors: the N950F version is powered by the Exynos 9 Octa 8895 processor, and the N950F is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. That's all the differences.

Xiaomi Mi6 6GB+128GB (173444 points)

When we wrote this article, the new generation of the flagship smartphone from Xiaomi had not yet been released, and Mi6, as some online publications write, is preparing to retire. And yet, even now it shows excellent results.

Well, we are waiting for the release of Mi7.

The smartphone market has always been a fierce battleground for many brands. Companies surprise us with their design, build quality, ergonomics and interesting accessories, so when choosing a worthy model, our eyes simply run wild.

Today we will talk about the performance and autonomy of mobile devices, compiling a small top of the most powerful smartphones based on the results of the past 2015. There is no point in describing in detail the characteristics of the entire top, so we will focus on the most important features of each model.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

For many years now, the Samsung company has remained a recognized leader in the smartphone market in the mid-budget segment, never tired of surprising us with new products, as well as interesting solutions for its devices. Last year, the Galaxy Note 4 model especially distinguished itself, which can rightfully be classified as “The most powerful smartphones on Android.”

The gadget is equipped with an excellent Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor in many respects or a similar Exynos 7 Octa processor with enviable data processing performance for competitors. Here you can also add a 16-megapixel camera, a good 5.7-inch Super and a multifunctional S Pen.

If you need a device with a full set of all modern functions and specifications, then the Galaxy Note 4 is exactly the device, but provided that you are not confused by the proprietary TochWiz launcher.

6Plus

The list of “The most powerful smartphones”, naturally, cannot do without gadgets from Apple. The new iPhone, version 6, has moved away from the already boring angular shapes that have been going on since the fourth model, and has brought more flexibility and smoothness to the device. The result is a pretty nice 5.5-inch gadget with all the modern bells and whistles.

In addition to design updates and continued rich functionality, the smartphone offers an improved iOS-8 interface, a powerful 16-megapixel camera with an optical stabilizer that can produce excellent images, and a multifunctional 1080p display that is considered one of the best smartphones on the market according to famous versions. laboratories. Here you can add a long battery life coupled with a productive 3000 mAh battery.

Nexus 6

“Nexus” sixth version can also be classified as “The most powerful smartphones”. And if you are looking for a productivity gadget with a large screen, then you will definitely like the new Nexus with a 6-inch Quad HD display.

In addition, the device has several undeniable advantages, one of which is that it belongs to the Google company, which ensures it first place in the list of Android system updates. By the way, this is the first gadget that has tried the new Android 5.0 “Lollipop” platform. Many users are quite happy with this, since the phone was able to push many contenders in the list of “The most powerful smartphone in the world.”

In addition to the fact that the characteristics of the display meet all modern requirements and trends, the overall performance of the system was rated by experts as five points. For this we can thank the latest version of the processor on board and an excellent 3220 mAh battery.

Motorola Droid Turbo

The first thing worth mentioning when talking about the new model from Motorola is battery life. Droid Turbo is a smartphone with the most powerful 3900 mAh battery. It surpasses the autonomous performance of many flagships of the most popular brands.

You can add top technical characteristics of the gadget to the “Droid Turbo” piggy bank: a large 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels and a density of 565 ppi, 3 GB of RAM with a powerful Snapdragon 805 processor with a clock frequency of 2.7 GHz. The gadget has on board 32 GB of its own memory and a 21-megapixel camera with the ability to shoot video in 4K resolution.

HTC One (M8)

Surely many, when answering the question of what the most powerful smartphone has been released by manufacturers, will remember the line from NTS. Today's flagship of the company - the M8 model - is one of the most elegant and stylish devices based on Android.

Although the gadget has a number of small shortcomings, coupled with its design and powerful hardware, it can compete with many models in the “Most Powerful Smartphones” category. The device has a good 4-megapixel camera with a maximum resolution of 2688 by 1520 pixels, coupled with UltraPixel technology, a powerful and non-removable battery, adequate dimensions and good ergonomics.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

Devices from Sony are waging an endless battle with Apple flagships, offering their fans alternatives to iPhones. The list of “The most powerful smartphones” is supplemented by the Compact model, which in its characteristics is very close to the iPhone 5s with minor changes.

Sony managed to squeeze a 4.6-inch screen (1280x720) into almost the same device size as the iPhone 5s, despite the fact that the latter has a 4-inch display. The Z3 features a distinctive glass design that combines clear plastic and a combination of protective film.

The model's hardware also inspires confidence: a powerful 801ac Snapdragon processor with a clock frequency of 2.5 GHz, a decent 20-megapixel camera and a decent battery life of the device (2600 mAh).

OnePlus One

The company clearly made the right decision by releasing a smartphone with the most powerful battery in its class at 3100 mAh. If we compare the remaining characteristics of the gadget with its competing analogues, they are not much different, but at a lower price, the smartphone will surpass many well-known brands with its characteristics.

A distinctive feature of the device can be called its own operating system CyanogenMod 11S, which is based on Android OS 4.4. This significantly expands the capabilities of the gadget in terms of fine-tuning the device “to suit you.”

It is also worth mentioning Root access right out of the box, modern and powerful hardware in the form of an IPS matrix, a good camera, 64 GB of internal memory and a large display (1920x1080). And all this for a little over twenty thousand rubles.

Meizu MX4 Pro

Chinese lines have firmly established themselves in the gadget market, competing with such venerable companies as Apple, Samsung and Sony. Meizu is a brand with a relatively long and respectable history, whose creation in the form of the MX4 Pro can be positioned as the most powerful Chinese smartphone of the past year.

The device, framed by a beautiful aluminum frame, has an extremely attractive design and good ergonomic characteristics. The Flyme OS operating system, brought almost to perfection with a convenient user interface, allows you to “overclock” the device to enviable power.

Here you can also add a 20-megapixel camera with autofocus, 32 GB of internal memory, excellent sound, a screen with a resolution of 2560 by 1536 pixels and a powerful eight-core Exynos 5430 processor from Samsung.

Xiaomi Mi 4

"Shaomi" is one of the most dynamically developing and young Chinese companies in the electronics market. Its flagship Mi 4 rightfully takes its place in the list of “The most powerful smartphone in the world.”

A distinctive feature of the gadget is the modern MIUI firmware, which significantly adds performance to the device. Coupled with a decent 13-megapixel camera and powerful hardware in the form of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, the device can please you with its speed and application optimization.

Battery life is also noteworthy. The 3080 mAh rechargeable battery will give you many hours of uninterrupted use. And if you consider that the smartphone sells for less than 20 thousand rubles, then it can be considered a dangerous competitor for famous brands.

BlackBerry Passport

There may not be many Blackberry lovers, but they are loyal to their brand, especially for good reason. After many years of anticipation, the company announced a new device - BlackBerry Passport.

The model is made in an extravagant style with a square screen (1440x1440 pixels), a good 13 megapixel camera, a powerful and fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and a noteworthy 3450 mAh battery that will easily work up to 450 hours in standby mode, making the device one of the the most powerful in its segment.

The company, as before, is trying to find a balance for its traditional customers, focusing on a full-fledged keyboard, but not forgetting about the touch screen. It is almost impossible to place both of these components in one device; one will always suffer, but the company has found an acceptable compromise in the BlackBerry Passport. The price of the device remained practically the same and changed slightly downwards - a little more than 30 thousand rubles for the basic configuration.

A powerful smartphone is not necessarily a flagship. There are cool phones on the market with top-of-the-line hardware for little money. Next is the TOP 5 best mid-rangers with powerful flagship-level processors.

1st place – Pocophone F1

This is the world's cheapest phone with the flagship Snapdragon 845 processor. You won't find anything more affordable on the market with this chip, which makes Pocophone unique. For those who don’t know, Snapdragon 845 is the flagship processor that is installed on all TOP flagships like Samsung Note9, OnePlus 6T, Google Pixel 3 and others.

Xiaomi managed to create a smartphone for little money, cramming such a cool processor into it. It is built on a 10nm process technology and includes 8 cores divided into 2 clusters:

  • 4xKryo 385 (Cortex-A75) 2.8 GHz
  • 4xKryo 385 1.8 GHz

Plus there are Adreno 630 graphics, a Cat.18 LTE modem, 5 GHz Wi-Fi and a 32-bit LPDDR4X memory controller. The chip was released at the beginning of 2018, that is, it is almost a year old. However, there are no smartphones with the new Snapdragon 855 processor yet, which makes the SD845 TOP in the Qualcomm line.

Pocophone F1 is an excellent smartphone with a liquid cooling system that ensures effective heat dissipation through the plastic body. There is no NFC here, cheap manufacturing materials are the price to pay for cheapness. But the phone takes good photos with the Gcam (Google Camera) application, and has a cool IPS screen with accurate color reproduction. You will find examples of photos on camera and a review.

2nd place – Honor Play

If Pocophone is the most affordable smartphone with an SD845 processor, then Honor Play is the cheapest with a HiSilicon Kirin 970 chip.

This processor includes 8 cores divided into 2 clusters:

  • 4xCortex-A73 2.4 GHz
  • 4xCortex-A53 1.8 GHz

There is also a Mali-G72 MP12 graphics processor, a 2-channel LPDDR4 memory controller and an LTE modem with data transfer rates of up to 1.2 Gbps. And although the Kirin 970 is a flagship chip that is installed on TOP Huawei phones, it is weaker than the competitive Snapdragon 845. Still, Honor Play runs all games on Android and provides high speed.

The Kirin 980 and phones based on it have already been released, so devices based on the Kirin 970 have become cheaper; the same Honor Play is available for less than 20 thousand rubles. Plus, there is NFC, which was not in the Pocophone F1, therefore Honor Play is one of the cheapest smartphones with TOP hardware and Google Pay contactless payment technology.

3rd place – Xiaomi Mi 8

Mi 8 is the coolest flagship from Xiaomi after the more recent Mi Mix 3. Of course, it cannot be called budget, since the price exceeds 20 thousand rubles; on average you will have to pay 24-26 thousand “wooden” for it, but somewhere on Ali it costs 20-22 thousand.

After the Pocophone F1, this is the most affordable smartphone on the market with the flagship SD845 processor, plus an Amoled display, 2-band GPS, a glass body and an NFC chip for contactless payment. All these are advantages that Pocophone lacks, but they imply an increase in price.

Mi 8 also has a problem - ineffective heat removal from the processor, which leads to throttling in games and when performing complex tasks that place a lot of load on the processor. As a result, the body of the Xiaomi Mi 8 heats up, which can be felt by your hands. Plus, frequencies drop and performance drops after a while. In this regard, Pocophone F1 is better due to its liquid cooling technology.

Still, Xiaomi Mi 8 is the best budget flagship on the market with current technologies and a powerful SoC, although its potential is not 100% realized here.

4th place – Honor 10

Another phone with the Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor. As I wrote above, with the release of Kirin 980, phones based on the previous SoC became cheaper, including Honor 10, which is now available for the same money as Xiaomi Mi 8. But since Mi 8 is equipped with better hardware, which means it is higher in the ranking.

Honor 10 is made in a glass case, equipped with a 5.84-inch diagonal IPS display with Full HD+ resolution; on the back there are 2 cameras with resolutions of 16 + 24 megapixels and f/1.8 aperture. The device takes good photographs, but worse than Xiaomi Mi 8.

As befits a modern flagship, there is an NFC chip, fast charging technology, AC Wi-Fi and a USB Type-C connector. The phone is not new - it was released in mid-2018, and then it was TOP, but now it is no longer. At the beginning of 2019, this is one of the cheapest smartphones with the flagship hardware Kirin 970. It is approximately 4-5 thousand rubles more expensive than the Honor Play, so I put it in 4th place.

5th place – Meizu X8

The TOP is completed by the “mid-range” from Meizu. This is the most affordable phone in this review and the cheapest device based on the Snapdragon 710 processor.

This processor is designed for middle-class phones, which is the Meizu X8. It is built on the basis of 8 cores, divided into 2 clusters:

  • 2xCortex-A75 2.2 GHz
  • 6xCortex-A55 1.7 GHz

It also received integrated Adreno 616 graphics and an X15 LTE modem with a maximum download speed of up to 800 Mbps. This is the next processor in class after the SD660, and the Meizu X8 is so far the most affordable phone based on it. And although this is not a TOP chip, its resource is more than enough to run modern games on Android, plus it will ensure multitasking and smooth operation of the smartphone. Meizu X8 itself is equipped with an IPS screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 2-module camera with 12 + 5 MP, 4 or 6 GB of RAM.

There is no NFC, radio or slot for a microSD card, and fast charging is also not announced, but there is AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Judging by the reviews, the device is suitable for gaming and on the market it is one of the best budget and powerful smartphones based on a mid-range SoC.
