We fix the problem with playing music on the computer. Turning on music according to a schedule MP3 does not turn on, what should I do?

Users often encounter problems playing music on their computer. There may be several reasons for this, and most often they all involve system failures or incorrect settings. Next, we will look at several simple ways to solve problems with playing music on your computer.

Before you try the methods below, make sure that there is no sound only when playing music or no music at all. If you find a problem with sound throughout the system, you will need to use other methods to resolve this problem. Read more about them in our article at the link below.

Method 1: Sound check

The most common reason for no sound when playing a melody is that the volume level is too low or the silent mode is turned on. Therefore, we recommend checking this parameter first. This process is carried out as follows:

If this method fails to solve the problem, we recommend moving on to the next method.

Method 2: Start Windows Audio Service

Another common cause of music playback problems is the Windows Audio service not working properly. You will need to check it and, if necessary, enable it. To do this, follow a few simple steps:

If this is the problem, it should be resolved immediately, but in some cases you may need to restart your computer.

Method 3: Checking drivers and codecs

Drivers and audio codecs allow you to play music on your computer. If they are absent, the melody often does not play. We recommend that you first check for installed drivers and codecs, and then download and install them when required. The check is quite simple:

The installed audio drivers should be displayed here. If they are missing, you will need to install using one of the methods convenient for you. Read more about this process in our articles linked below.

It is very easy to check the availability of the necessary codecs. You just need to select one audio file and open it through Windows Media Player. If you experience a playback error, download and install major audio codecs. You will find detailed instructions in our articles at the links below.

Method 4: Check your computer for viruses

Some computer viruses can cause problems with music playback, since malware tends to damage any system parameters and files. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you scan and remove dangerous software in a way that is convenient for you. The process of cleaning your computer from malicious files is described in detail in our article at the link below.

Method 5: Selecting a different music player

The standard Windows Media Player, unfortunately, does not support many audio formats, which forces users to look for another alternative to play music. In the event that you have already installed drivers and codecs, but still see an error when opening a file, download and use another, more universal music player. You can find a complete list of representatives of this software in the article at the link below.

I recently had a problem here: I had to start music in the hall at 8 am, and turn it off at 20:00 pm... Initially, this was done manually, the one who arrived first went into a certain room and made simple combinations with the equipment and software. , turned up the music in the hall... But as they say, this is not our method and we are not looking for easy ways =)

When you launch the program in English (at least for me), to switch you need to go to File - Preferences - Interface - Language - Russian.

Now let's collapse the list of Examples on the left side of the window and add our own "Section 1", selecting the newly created "Section 1" there, right-click on it and select "New task" or Insert on the keyboard. Change the name and add time:

To add such time according to the schedule, click “Complex time format” - “Add compound”, and there we already set the hours, minutes, days and months.

Then we go to the “Actions” tab, click Insert again and... we get a little lost in the huge number of possibilities of the program =) Having had enough fun, go to “Audio” - “Winamp Control” and select “Command” - “Play”

Now you can click OK, half done. Using the same principle, we do another task for “Stop” at 20:00 every day.

Each task has a log where you can see what happened, how and when.

Result: The problem is solved, although it is quite simple and could be solved with a small batch file, I think that many will like this solution more. Plus, if you increase the complexity, for example, if the computer is initially turned off, then you will have to tinker with the batch file many times more than with this program.

This solution has been working like clockwork for several months now, there were only two crashes, the first because the machine decided to switch to winter time and the playback on/off schedule shifted, and the second because of the player itself, it unfortunately froze and lost the storage location for my music files.

Failures of portable devices vary, but while in some cases the device can still be used, others make operation completely impossible. For example, the second category includes malfunctions due to which the mp3 player does not turn on. The employees of our service center often had to deal with such cases, so they know well the reasons for non-starting, and now we will outline them so that every player owner who finds himself in a similar situation knows what could have caused it.

So, the answer to the question why the mp3 player does not turn on, in most cases, is problems with charging. First, the user himself should check this version. After all, if the device does not charge, it does not turn on. And the reason for this may be simple wear and tear of the charger. Therefore, you only need to change your memory.

But if the charging is working properly or replacing it did not help and the mp3 player still does not charge and does not turn on, then the following options are possible:

  • The connector is broken. This can sometimes be diagnosed by a simple inspection: if you see obvious damage on the connector, it means that the charging process is not happening because of them. In such cases, you will need to seek help from specialists, because the damaged connector will have to be replaced;
  • It also happens that the MP3 player stops charging due to the fact that the connector is torn out of the printed circuit board. This breakdown is diagnosed using special equipment (diagnosis is always free in our service), and there can be two ways to fix it. It is more likely and often urgent to restore the tracks of the printed circuit board; it is extremely rare that in case of such damage it is necessary to change the connector (in most cases it does not need to be changed);
  • The power chip is faulty. It is responsible for power consumption and therefore its incorrect operation can lead to the fact that your MP3 player does not charge well or does not turn on, or turns off on its own. And a malfunction of the microcircuit that controls the power may be the reason that the mp3 player quickly discharges.

Also, the MP3 player may not turn on because the power button is faulty. If the mp3 player buttons do not work, our service center is ready to replace or repair them, if possible. Sometimes repair of the mechanism is required, because the buttons may not work if some internal components or parts are malfunctioning.

Damage to the processor is also sometimes diagnosed when customers complain that the MP3 does not turn on. The technician will tell you how to correct the situation on the spot, depending on the effectiveness and justification of certain operations specifically in your case.

Also, the mp3 player refuses to turn on or turns off if there are any errors in the program. In this case, the software must either be updated or changed, that is, re-flashed.

Often an mp3 player does not work (turns off, does not charge, does not discharge, etc.) after moisture gets into the device or after an impact. Such incidents can have various unpleasant consequences, and only diagnostics will bring clarity and show the number and scale of damage.

If your mp3 player quickly discharges, does not charge, or turns off, please contact our service center. We can fix any damage. We will also help you figure out why there is no sound from the mp3 player or there is some other problem due to which the mp3 does not work.
