iPad and the Environment

Apple takes a complete product life cycle approach to determining our environmental impact. Learn more

iPad embodies Apple's continuing environmental progress. It is designed with the following features to reduce environmental impact:

  • Mercury-free LCD display
  • Arsenic-free display glass
  • BFR-free
  • PVC-free
  • Recyclable aluminum and glass enclosure
  1. Actual size and weight vary by configuration and manufacturing process.
  2. 1GB = 1 billion bytes; actual formatted capacity less.
  3. 4G LTE is supported only on AT&T and Verizon networks in the U.S. and on Bell, Rogers, and Telus networks in Canada. See your carrier for details.
  4. Cellular data plan is sold separately. The model you purchase is configured to work with a particular cellular network technology. Check with your carrier for compatibility and cellular data plan availability.
  5. Testing conducted by Apple in February 2012 using preproduction iPad units and software. Testing consisted of full battery discharge while performing each of the following tasks: video playback, audio playback, and Internet browsing using Wi-Fi or cellular data network. Video content was a repeated 2-hour 23-minute movie purchased from the iTunes Store. Audio content was a playlist of 358 unique songs, consisting of a combination of songs imported from CDs using iTunes (128-Kbps AAC encoding) and songs purchased from the iTunes Store (256-Kbps AAC encoding). Internet over Wi-Fi and cellular data network tests were conducted using dedicated web and mail servers, browsing snapshot versions of 20 popular web pages, and receiving mail once an hour. All settings were default except: Wi-Fi was associated with a network (except for Internet browsing over cellular data network); the Wi-Fi feature Ask to Join Networks and Auto-Brightness were turned off. Battery life depends on device settings, usage, and many other factors. Battery tests are conducted using specific iPad units; actual results may vary.
  6. Wireless broadband recommended; fees may apply.

When Apple released the first version of the Apple iPad Mini, the publishers of women's glossies discovered a sudden surge in downloads of their applications in the AppStore. The reason turned out to be simple - the tablet in a reduced form factor fit comfortably into a standard women's handbag, and therefore quickly became a hit among the owners of these handbags Unlike similar achievements of the first iPad Mini, the release of the third does not bring with it any revolution at all.

The announcement of the iPad Mini 3 during a recent Apple event raised a few eyebrows. Why was the new mini-iPad given only about five seconds - no one even had time to blink an eye? With the advent of the device on sale, the number of questions only increased.

Here, for example: what can you test in a tablet, the only differences from the previous model (Mini 2) is the gold color as one of the body options, the availability of versions with 64 and 128 gigabytes of memory and a fingerprint sensor? Moreover, the version of iPad Mini 3 that we tested was not even gold (even with 128 gigabytes of memory on board).

For those who still want to put the iPad Mini 3 in their purse, the price of the iPad Mini 2, which has decreased with the release of the new version, will make them think even more. A 16 GB Mini 2 without a cellular module can be bought in Russia in the official Apple store for 15,000 rubles with delivery, and the same 16 GB Mini 3 will cost 19,500 rubles there. It turns out that in this case Apple priced the fingerprint sensor at 4,500 rubles? It is unlikely that a potential buyer will be satisfied with such arithmetic.

By the way, a 32 GB Mini 2 without a cellular module can still be bought cheaper than the same 16 GB Mini 3 - for 17,500 rubles. See the full price list below:

The convenience of this tablet is even more questionable if we recall the recently released iPhone 6 Plus, whose screen is only slightly smaller (5.5 inches versus 7.9 for the iPad Mini 3), but in terms of mobility and functionality it is noticeably superior to a tablet. True, you will have to pay more for the phone - from 37 to 47 thousand rubles in the official Apple store. If cost isn't a factor, the iPhone 6 Plus looks like a much more attractive buy.

Everything is fine

However, by and large, the only thing that really overshadows the release of the Mini 3 is the low price of the almost identical Mini 2. Otherwise, this is the same excellent tablet from Apple, which in 2010 set a new quality bar for such devices and will not be lowered going. It is fast, compact, with a good camera (it has also not changed compared to the previous model), quite thin (7.5 mm), with an excellent screen that supports Retina resolution.

It takes full advantage of all the innovations of iOS8.1, which added built-in cloud storage from Apple - iCloud Drive, as well as the ability to receive and make calls, write and reply to messages from any Apple device that has been updated to the latest versions - from a tablet to a laptop. And this is a really convenient feature.

Another useful feature of the new iOS is the ability to start working with an application on one device and continue on another. Open tabs from a mobile phone in a desktop browser, put the finishing touches on a presentation in Keynote on an iPad, add a lead to the next review in Pages on an iPhone while running to the editor - all this can be done in a single environment, conveniently switching from one Apple device to another.

Who should buy it?

The parameters that you will use when deciding whether to buy an iPad Mini 3 or not are the price, the amount of memory and the size of the device itself. You should immediately discard the model with 16 gigabytes of memory - it is not worth the difference with the Mini 2.

If the compactness of the tablet is not particularly important, take a look at the new iPad Air 2, which is more powerful and has a larger screen.

If you are the owner of a small handbag, where the 9.7-inch Air will not fit, and the Mini 2 will not fit your entire collection of films and music, then feel free to take the iPad Mini 3 with 128 gigabytes on board. And in gold color - otherwise how will they understand that it’s new?

Update: The official launch date for the 2018 iPad Pro is October 30, according to the Apple "Special Event" press invite. There's also more evidence that the new tablet will feature a USB-C port, and we've also gotten some interesting ideas about the size.

The iPad Pro 3 is Apple's next big update, and now the company has all but confirmed that we'll see the tablet on October 30th by sending out invitations to an event on that date.

The new iPad Pro should showcase thin-panel screens in two sizes, and leaks also suggest it will use the iPhone X's True Depth technology for Face ID.

Of course, at the beginning of the year we saw a new entry-level one with solutions aimed at the educational segment, but if you are looking for a more powerful tablet to replace the current one, you will soon get it.

Apple intends to make the iPad Pro series "laptop replacements" for as many users as possible, treating its Pro series tablets as if they were touchscreen MacBooks. With iOS 11 (and now iOS 12) and accompanying tablet-focused software, Apple is moving closer to that vision.

Regardless of the name, be it iPad Pro 2018 or iPad Pro 3, the new tablet will almost certainly remain expensive, and still won't be a laptop replacement for everyone, no matter how hard Apple tries to convince us of it.

Will there be a new iPad Pro? Seems like this could be an interesting change of concept. Here are the details we've gathered from all this time of leaks, rumors and speculation. We've also made our best guesses regarding price, release date, and various specifications/features.

Let's go!

  • What is this? The next flagship tablet is the iPad;
  • When to expect? Tuesday, October 30, 17:00 (Moscow time);
  • What is the price? Probably no less than $649 (39,000 rubles);

| iPadPRO 3 (2018): RELEASE DATE AND PRICES

The iPad Pro 3 launches on October 30th, as Apple has already sent out invitations to a special event on that date.

This is not surprising as we were expecting the tablet to be released soon, not least because the new iPad Pro has been spotted by the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission), indicating an imminent release of the device.

We don't know the launch date for the tablets yet, but whenever the iPad Pro series tablets come out, they come with a hefty price tag. The iPad Pro 10.5 (the last in the series) launched with a price tag of $649 (R42,000), so we believe Apple will stick to similar pricing with the 9.7-inch models, the cheapest in the series.

| iPadPRO 3: DESIGN

  • Tiny panels around the screen;
  • There's no home button or headphone port;
  • The thinnest tabletApple;

One of the most recent iPad Pro 2018 leaks comes from a source that has been correct on Apple in the past and now claims that the upcoming tablet will be just 5.9mm thick and will lack a headphone port.

Additionally, we've currently seen a render purporting to show off the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 3, which you'll be able to see below.

Details include thin bezels and no home button or fingerprint scanner, so Face ID will be included. But the bezels in the render are still large enough to eliminate the need for a notch.

We still get a metal back panel, four speaker grilles and a single camera on the back, but something has changed - the Smart Connector has moved to the bottom (when the tablet is in portrait mode), there doesn't seem to be a 3.5mm jack anymore headphones (which corresponds to rumors), and on the right edge there is an unidentified button.

The source adds that it appears that the iPad Pro 12.9 (2018) will come with dimensions of 280.6 x 215 x 5.8 mm (or 7.77 mm considering the camera bump on the back), making it smaller than the iPad Pro 12.9 (2017). The thickness is also in line with anecdotal rumors, so we're really looking forward to a very thin tablet.

We again got the same numbers from another source, which added that the iPad Pro 10.5 (2018) will measure 247.64 x 178.5 mm, making the new tablet smaller than its predecessor.

Another render has surfaced, this time showing the iPad Pro 12.9 (2018) in a case from UAG, you can see it below.

The details - including the thin bezels and Face ID sensor - are consistent with the materials above. However, the fact that the tablet is in a case suggests it could be out very soon, as the case maker likely won't release a product or render until the device is ready.

| iPadPRO 3 (2018): DISPLAY

  • Models with a diagonal of 12.9 and 10.5 inches;
  • The 10.5-inch model can be replaced by an 11-inch one;

While the iPhone range is now highly classified, the 2018 iPad Pro continues to be bombarded with leaks, with the edge-to-edge screen prominently featured.

Then again, it's still possible that Apple will put a notch on the tablet's display, especially since iOS 12 moves part of the status bar to the left edge, leaving empty space in the middle.

If Apple goes with an edge-to-edge screen design, the new iPads will be able to increase the display area, or keep the screen sizes to reduce the size of the body. This will come as a surprise to the sometimes bulky iPad Pro 12.9, and based on the information we've heard so far, shrinking the 12.9-inch tablet's body is exactly what Apple has done.

For the smaller 10.5-inch iPad, on the other hand, the new design could mean a slight increase in size, as we've seen a report claiming it will get an 11-inch display.

However, since Apple just introduced a new size with the 10.5-inch model, we're not sure about further changes. We also expect the iPad Pro 3 to feature a True Tone display with a 120Hz refresh rate, just like its predecessor.

| iPadPRO 3: CAMERA AND BATTERY

  • Front-cameraTrueDepth;
  • Best bokeh effect;

We don't expect big changes in the camera department. Apple continues to stick with the 12MP and 7MP combination on the back and front, respectively, adopting the sensors from the iPhone 8, which is a serious overkill for a tablet and should continue to serve well for at least another year.

However, if the Face ID rumors are true, the tablet will likely feature a front-facing True Depth camera, much more similar to the iPhone XS camera. It's still a 7-megapixel sensor, but with additional depth-sensing skills, making it a great solution for portrait mode (background blur).

There is no news regarding the iPad Pro (2018) battery yet, but we will be sure to include it in the article as soon as we know something.

| iPadPRO 3: OS AND PERFORMANCE

  • Tablet chipsetA12Bionic;
  • Operating system -iOS 12;

A supply chain source claims that the iPad Pro 3 will use the new A11X Bionic chipset with an 8-core processor. Considering that the iPhone XS smartphones are now powered by A12 Bionic chipsets, this seems unlikely.

Most likely, the 2018 iPad Pro will use either the A12 Bionic or something newer and better chipset that hasn't been announced yet - perhaps the A12X Bionic or A13.

Of course, the iPad Pro 3 will also definitely roll out iOS 12, which is available now. This will bring gesture controls to the tablet, as well as adding Siri shortcuts, group notifications, improvements in the augmented reality department, and more.

| iPadPRO 3: OTHER FEATURES

  • FaceID;
  • Four speakers;
  • USBC;

You're unlikely to hear Apple officially call the upcoming tablet the "Modern iPad," but that's the name found in the iOS 11.3 code.

"Modern iPad" doesn't sound like much, but the phrase "Modern iPhone" was used before the release of the iPhone X. The speculation is that the term could promise unusual innovations such as Face ID and a bezel-less display.

Indeed, the idea is that the new iPad Pro 2018 will allow users to unlock the device by simply looking at the tablet, without using their hands - a rumor we've heard more than once.

In fact, the tablet's Face ID setup interface was found in the iOS 12 beta for iPad. In the same beta we also found multi-user support for Face ID, a feature that will be much more useful on a tablet than on a phone.

We've also heard that Face ID on the iPad will use the same image signal processor as the iPhone XS and will work in portrait and landscape orientations.

The same source claims that the iPad Pro 3 will be able to output 4K HDR to an external display using a USB-C port, which is also rumored to be included in the tablet.

Additionally, the 2018 iPad Pro will likely feature a new version of the magnetic connector for connecting accessories like Apple's new Smart Keyboard.

And a new version of the Apple Pencil will apparently land alongside the iPad Pro 3.

Other existing features such as quad speakers and Smart Connector (each of which were found in leaked images) will return once again.

| WHAT DO WE WANT TO SEE?

Excellent, since the current iPad Pro models remain very expensive, although they lack some key features or features of competitors. With that in mind, here's a list of the things we're most looking forward to from the iPad Pro 3.

WATER RESISTANCE

Apple has added water resistance to its smartphones, but this option has not yet reached the company's tablets and, although it is less necessary for tablets that are quite large, you would not use them in the rain.

But drinks are still spilled, and people still use tablets while cooking or at the pool, so knowing that the iPad Pro 3 can survive water would be reassuring, especially considering its price.

PRODUCTIVITY INCREASE

Apple has been consistently improving the performance potential of the iPad Pro, but it still can't match a laptop in most cases.

iOS simply isn't a versatile enough solution even with , and accessories like the Smart Keyboard tend to be overpriced, adding up to a mediocre experience. much better suited for the job.

Moreover, lowering the price of accessories could help the tablet, along with further changes to iOS, which should be closer to a desktop operating system. Full software that can offer desktop quality, such as Photoshop, would also help. To some extent, this is beyond Apple's capabilities, but the company can strike a deal with developers or simply make the platform more attractive to them.

PRICE DROP?

The iPad Pro is an expensive tablet, and there's no getting around it, no matter what size you choose. Considering the amount of technology packed in, the value for money isn't bad, but it can be difficult to justify the cost, especially when there are cheaper tablets available, given that it's not a full laptop replacement.

So we'd like to see a price drop with the new iPad Pro 3, or at least (and most likely) the previous prices, along with an increase in memory and new features.

SHARP OLED DISPLAY

The 10.5- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 has a screen with a pixel density of 265 pixels per inch, which is quite good, while the overall screen quality is high.

But screens can be sharper on tablets, laptops and phones, so we'd like to see Apple bump up the resolution, especially since the iPad promises to be a prime candidate for 4K content.

And along with the new resolution, we'd like to see a new display technology, namely OLED. Apple has already used OLED panels for the iPhone X, so it's possible that the iPad Pro 3 could benefit.

FACE SCAN

Apple debuted Face ID on the iPhone X, allowing you to simply look at the phone to unlock it. This means that there is no longer a Home button, therefore opening up the possibility for a larger screen in the same body size. These are all useful features we'd like to see on the iPad Pro 3.

BEST BATTERY LIFE

The iPad Pro 2 tablets don't suffer from poor battery life as long as you use it primarily as a media device, but if you plan to use it as a laptop, expecting anything more than 6-7 hours is overkill.

That's still not bad, but an extra two hours would really help, so whether it's a larger battery or more efficient components and software, we'd like to see Apple add battery life to the iPad Pro 3.

NEW DESIGN

The iPad Pro has a thin, light and stylish design, but it's more in line with the design of Apple's tablets of recent years, so we'd like a complete overhaul of the iPad Pro 3. Something new and exciting that might tempt those who use older models and covet updates.

It could be a glass back, a huge screen, no bezels, or something new altogether. But if there's one thing Apple is great at, it's design, and we think it all depends on the task at hand.

As always, Apple fans are eagerly awaiting the release of a new device on the market. In March there will be a presentation of a tablet called iPad Air 3. The release date will also be indicated there.

Some people are interested in the new Air variant in terms of purchase, others – just out of curiosity. After all, it’s always interesting to know how a new product differs from the previous model.

The presentation promises to be grandiose, which is not at all typical for the company. But this time the developers were active to stimulate their fans. This is probably all due to the crisis and the accompanying decline in sales. Besides, speaking about any version of iPad and iPhone, they are now not the most expensive devices in the world. The Apple company, as you know, has let Alphabet get ahead.

The release date of the Apple iPad Air 3 is not yet known, but on the Internet you can find a lot of assumptions about its design and “filling”. You can even find a diagram showing the new gadget. Judging by it, as usual, the device will not receive significant changes in terms of “appearance”. For example, the audio jack will remain in its usual place.

But let's not make senseless guesses about when the iPad Air 3 will come out, but let's talk about its expected characteristics. Read on for a detailed review.

The appearance of the gadget, judging by the diagrams on the network, will remain the same. Only with regards to the color scheme, there will be 3 options - white, gray and golden. Perhaps the original “rose gold” color will appear. But for now these are just rumors.

Air will also be 1.2 cm thinner than the previous model, thereby winning the title of the thinnest tablet in the world. Before it, the second device of the same line had the palm. The developers managed to achieve a thickness of 5 mm thanks to a new steel composition, which... Moreover, it is more durable and wear-resistant.

If we consider the safety category, then the new product will be all right. There will definitely be moisture protection technology according to the IPX7 standard. The stereo speaker grid will move to the other side (or rather, the elements will be duplicated). Similar innovations have already been introduced in the Pro version, and they look quite organic.

Probably, changing the location of the speakers is far from the only feature in the body structure that the iPad Air 3 will take from its predecessor. But one can only speculate about this. There are rumors that the third Air iPad will also feature a pencil that is already loved by many.

Display

The trio will most likely be equipped with the usual 9.7-inch display with 4K resolution. The pixel density will be 401 ppi with an aspect ratio of 4 to 3.

The second tablet in this line had much lower resolution. So you should expect an improvement in picture quality.

The device will definitely have Forse Touch technology, which allows you to distinguish the power of pressing the display. In addition, it will expand the range of functions of the gadget and improve the work with content.

Performance

Often, the Apple company names the processors of its tablets with the X prefix. This first began to be practiced with the third line of iPads, which ran on A5X chips. Only the mini 4 model, which was supposed to be innovative compared to others, did not have such a detail.

To be honest, the main function of a tablet is to absorb various types of content. And if this device freezes when launching modern games and applications, it’s unlikely that anyone will like it. By the way, the A9 chip slowed down a bit when launching games with high system requirements.

However, it is unlikely that the developers will pay attention to past experience, and, most likely, will equip the Air 3 with the A9 chip. The fact is that if you put a newer chip on a new device, it will become a competitor to the flagship iPad Pro.

Therefore, it seems that at the presentation of the new product the RAM will be praised, the volume of which will double and amount to 4 GB. If such a characteristic were also combined with a higher-quality processor, the result would be an excellent gadget. And so, we can only guess how the model will manifest itself in practice.

Camera

The main camera of the “troika” will remain the same, that is, its resolution will be 8 MP. The selfie camera will improve slightly (up to 2.1 MP). For those who don’t know, previous models of tablets have virtually none of this element. What good things can you shoot with 1.2 MP?

But the most important innovative detail in the camera, which may be present in the model under consideration, is the LED flash. It will be placed next to the main camera. Until now, Apple has never introduced such an element into its gadgets, believing that users do not use the camera to take photographs.

There is every reason to believe that the Air 3 will be the first device from an Apple company to have an LED flash.

Battery

Alas, in recent years there has been a tendency to reduce the battery capacity of each subsequent device. According to the developers, this forced measure was taken to optimize the operating system.

Let’s say the battery in the fourth mini iPad has significantly lost capacity. But testing showed that the operating time without recharging was not reduced.

The capacity of the new tablet is expected to be up to 6500 mAh, that is, about 1000 units less than in the previous model of a similar line.

Even more rumors and facts

So, everything that was said above is just speculation about what the new iPad of the third version will be like. the company itself rarely comments on anything before the official meeting with fans and journalists at the presentation. But some speculations may well turn out to be facts. Below is a list of the most reliable assumptions:

1 It is quite possible that a Pro model will be released instead of the expected device. But with a smaller display (regular sizes). And the Air series will be eliminated altogether. One way or another, something real about the new gadget will be heard this spring. 2 There will be no radical change in design. But there was no need to talk about this much, since this is a common practice of the Apple company. The device will look exactly the same as all tablets in the Air line. The sizes may change, but nothing will change radically. 3 Having ignored the issues of changing the “appearance” of the new product, developers can concentrate on increasing protection. The device can be made of a higher quality alloy, have an improved display coating, and the like. There will probably be new shades of cases as well. By analogy with smartphones, a rose gold color may appear. In theory, moisture protection will be introduced. 4 The display resolution will definitely be increased. But no one can give exact numbers yet; there are only assumptions. But it’s unlikely that Apple will follow the standard path and make this parameter equal to 4K 3840x2160 pixels. Most likely, the Cupertino residents will invent something of their own, unique. 5 There will definitely not be a processor running on 3 cores. The company will probably implement the A9 or A10 tablets. 6 None of the experts doubt that the stereo acoustic system of tablet number 3 will, like the previous model, include 4 speakers. 7 The availability of Apple Pencil is also a big question. But many authoritative sources believe that the new product will work with this stylus. 8 Most likely, there will be no support for 3D Touch in the new gadget. 9 The manufacturer will release its own version of a portable keyboard for the new tablet. 10 Photo sensors will also receive an update. It will have a flash (aka a flashlight).

Estimated cost in Russia

iPad Air 3 starts at $500. This is for the simplest version with 16 GB memory and Wi-Fi support. The most expensive variation comes with Cellular and costs $700. As usual, after the release of a new product, the price of the previous model is reduced by 30 percent. Therefore, the prices are approximate, based on the cost of the Air 2 tablet.

A revolutionary device bordering on science fiction at an incredible price. - Apple

We had to wait seven months for the official appearance of the new product from Apple. That did not stop those interested (including Dmitry Anatolyevich) from acquiring an iPad before the start of sales in Russia. The tablet was only available in black and did not have a front or rear camera.

By the way, in our country, users first saw the iPhone 4 with its Retina display and only then the iPad with its 1024x780 pixels. You get used to good things instantly, which is why many missed the ultra-clear screen on the tablet. I had to wait a couple of years.

  • iPad 2

Thinner. Easier. Faster. - Apple

The updated tablet received a dual-core A5 processor, 512 MB of RAM, simple rear and front cameras, and a different body shape that lasted two more generations of iPad. It was 4.4 mm thinner than its predecessor and approximately 70 grams lighter. The display remained absolutely the same, but a white model appeared. It took two and a half months to get to Russia - a relatively short time.

This “old man” is still standing, you can download the latest version of iOS to it, no need! . True, he works on it “with a creak.”

  • iPad 3

Revolution. This is very clear. - Apple

The traditional two-plus months of waiting, and it appeared in Russia. It had a bunch of changes: an improved A5x processor, an upgraded rear camera, 1 GB of RAM, Siri and, of course, a Retina display. But almost immediately it became noticeable that in order to maintain the speed of the tablet at an acceptable level.

There is an opinion that Apple rushed the release of the third iPad, trying to keep up with competitors and satisfy user needs. The company hastened to correct itself within six months with the next generation of the tablet.

  • iPad 4

Just as gorgeous. But twice as fast. - Apple

This is exactly what the iPad 3 should have been, because it is no coincidence that Apple called the fourth generation of the device “”. Although a similar screen was in the previous tablet. The new product received an improved A6x processor, higher frequency RAM, a Lightning connector, a front camera with adequate matrix resolution and 4G operating in Russia. The tablet just “flyed”.

Its release was unexpected and significantly spoiled the mood of those who bought the third generation of the tablet in the summer. At the moment, this is the last iPad in the “classic” case.

  • iPad mini

iPad down to the last inch. - Apple

Another new product of the same year. In the fall, Apple introduced two iPads at once for the first time. At one time, Jobs was categorically against a smaller tablet, but consumers thought differently.

A low-resolution display and other internals of the iPad 2 were “stuffed” into the 7.9-inch device. This in no way detracts from the capabilities of the old hardware, but on the contrary, speaks of its large power reserve. Many people didn’t like this move, but even with this filling it “pulled” and worked faster than its competitors.

The design of the case has changed, the main elements of which still migrate from one new product to another; this can be seen even in the huge iPad Pro.

  • iPad Air

Power is lighter than light. - Apple

And again, Apple showed two tablets at once - Air and mini. Their design was brought to the same denominator, and the technical characteristics are generally identical, with the exception of the size and color rendition of the display.

The small tablet from Apple had the same processor as the Air, but its frequency was software lowered to prevent the device from overheating. Bullshit, it warmed up like a third iPad.

The gap between the start of sales in the first wave and in Russia was inexorably narrowing, which could not please all gadget lovers in our country.

  • iPad Air 2

Change is in your hands. - Apple

Sales of new tablets from Apple started in Russia simultaneously with the United States. received a new A8x processor (which was created specifically for it), an 8-core video chip and 2 GB of RAM. What it did to everyone else, it is still at the top of the performance rankings and is second only to the recent Pro.

Plus, the Air 2 received many other nice features: Touch ID, upgraded LTE, a gold-colored body, additional shooting modes, anti-glare screen coating, support for Apple Pay and a barometer.

  • iPad mini 3

With Touch ID - Apple

I got Touch ID, a gold-colored case and... that's it.

Perhaps the most useless update.

  • iPad Pro

Thin. Easy. Grandiose. - Apple

You can argue for a long time about why and how to use it, but the fact remains a fact.
